THE OUTSIDERS

Fueled by my passion for S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders and its iconic film adaptation, I took on the challenge of directing and rewriting the script for our high school production. My goal was to honor the story’s timeless themes of friendship, identity, and resilience while making it resonate with my peers. Through this process, I collaborated closely with the cast and crew, encouraging them to bring authenticity and emotion to every scene, ultimately inspiring our community to experience the powerful story of The Outsiders through the transformative lens of theatre. I even recruited my younger brother to act as a "church fire kid!"
